#STEP 1 SIMULATION EXAM FULL#

Students who scored 170 or higher on the January CBSE and have a score below 190 on the CBSSA by Mamay choose to delay their Step 1 exam until the end of May and their R1 clerkship will be removed from their schedule (the clerkship will be moved to fourth year or will be moved to their vacation month).

Without a Delay Agreement, students will be required to take Step 1 by April 6, 2022. Students will be required to submit a Step 1 Delay Agreement to their Lead Advisor no later than March 30, 2022. Students should plan to take Step 1 no later than the last Wednesday of R1.

Students who are still below 190 on the CBSSA are advised to enroll in a structured plan of study for Step 1 and will be withdrawn from their R1 elective.

Students who scored below 170 on the CBSE and improve to a score of 190 or higher on the CBSSA by Mashould schedule their Step exam by Apand will maintain their current schedule and still take their scheduled elective in R1.

Any delay would need approval by the Student Promotions Committee.

Students who have improved to a score of 190 or higher on this CBSSA should plan on taking Step 1 by April 6, 2022.

Students should plan on taking this self-assessment by March 8, 2022.ДЄll students who scored below 190 on their January CBSE will be required to send their CBSSA score to their Lead Advisor or the Learning Strategist by March 8, 2022. These students should work with their Lead Advisor, the Learning Strategist and tutors to modify and enhance their study plans to be ready to take Step 1 by April 6, 2022.ДЄll students will receive one voucher (purchased by the school) for a Comprehensive Basic Science Self-Assessment (CBSSA) on Februto help them gauge their preparation for Step 1. In order to allow students the maximum amount of time to prepare, students who score below 170 will be scheduled for an elective month in R1 in the event that they are unable to improve their score to be ready to take Step 1 on time. Students scoring 170 to 189 should meet with their Lead Advisor, the Learning Strategist and tutors to adjust their study plan to be ready to take Step 1 on or before April 6, 2022.ДЄn analysis of our data reveals that students who score below 170 are at the highest risk for failing Step 1. Students scoring 190 or higher should feel confident that their study plan is appropriate, and they will take Step 1 on or before April 6, 2022. Students are encouraged to work with their Lead Advisors, the Learning Strategist and tutors to improve their score while maintaining their performance in ERMD.

A full schedule will be released prior to the fall semester. MSE will provide Step prep sessions to enhance your Step 1 preparation. StudentsвЂ™ CBSE scores will be shared with MSE and students will meet with their Lead Advisor that week to receive their CBSE score and discuss their study plan. The total time for the exam is 5 ВЅ hours. Thus, our goal is that all students are ready to take and pass Step 1 without an extended delay in their curriculum progression.ДЄll Phase 1 Year 2 students will be scheduled to take the CBSE on Monday, Januin person on their campus as a proctored and timed exam.
